Our Story. A Better Way.

Two people, years of experience, and a shared belief that there was a better way to do things.

For years, we'd both worked hard helping other businesses grow. Different roles, different strengths, but a similar story. We'd built teams, developed relationships, created opportunities and contributed to the success of organisations we worked for. Throughout our careers, we'd invested a great deal of time, energy and commitment into helping other businesses succeed. But we'd also come to realise that the opportunities we'd worked towards didn't always align with the contributions we'd made or the expectations that had been set. It prompted us to rethink where we wanted to invest our experience and ambition. We knew what we were capable of achieving, and increasingly, we wanted to channel that into something we could build, shape and take pride in together. Why weren't we putting that same energy into building something of our own?

And that was the beginning of PropertyZen. We're Marco and Marina, a husband-and-wife team who've spent many years working across property, Talent, business development and operations. Between us, we've experienced many sides of the property industry, from sales, lettings and property management, inspections, inventories and running a property services business in Wimbledon. We've also built careers beyond property, developing expertise in talent management, business operations, marketing and strategy. That combination of experience has shaped not only how we work, but how we believe a business should be run.

Different strengths, shared experience, and the same vision. We wanted to create an agency that reflected what we'd learnt over the years, but also addressed some of the things we felt could be done better.

We believe that whether you're selling your family home, letting an investment property, searching for somewhere to live or trusting someone to manage your property, you deserve more than just a transaction. You deserve honest advice, clear communication, people who are accessible when you need them and the reassurance that someone genuinely has your best interests at heart. That's what we're working to deliver at PropertyZen. We've built a modern, hybrid agency that combines the personal service of a traditional estate agent with the flexibility and efficiency of today's technology. Less unnecessary overhead, more time and attention where it matters most, with our clients.

Rethinking what a working day looks like.

One of the things we were determined to do differently was challenge the idea that being productive means being tied to an office desk all day. We don't believe great work has to happen between four office walls, or that commitment should be measured by the hours someone is visibly sitting at their desk. Some days, work happens from home. Other days, it's a laptop open in a local café, a phone call between appointments or a team member working remotely from somewhere entirely different. And sometimes, it's simply about having the freedom to organise your day around the things that matter outside work. We all have families, commitments, interests and lives that don't neatly fit around traditional working hours. We know that because we're no different.

For us, flexibility isn't about working less. It's about working better. Of course, property is a people business. There are viewings to attend, clients to meet, homes to visit and moments when being physically present is essential. But we don't believe that means every other part of the working day needs to follow a rigid structure. We'd rather focus on being accessible, responsive and doing a great job than on where someone's laptop happens to be. It's a different way of working, but one that makes sense to us.

A team built on trust, not just job titles.

That philosophy extends to the people we've chosen to work alongside us. We've deliberately surrounded ourselves with people we know, trust and genuinely enjoy working with. People who bring their own strengths, experience and ideas, but who share a common approach to looking after clients and supporting one another. We're not interested in building layers of hierarchy or creating a culture where people feel they need to prove how busy they are. We want our team to feel trusted, supported and valued. To have ownership of their work, the freedom to use their initiative and the confidence that their contribution matters. Having spent years helping build other organisations ourselves, we understand how important that is. We also believe that a business should make room for the people behind the job titles. Parents, partners, individuals with responsibilities, ambitions and interests that extend far beyond the property industry.

We want people to enjoy being part of PropertyZen, not feel that they have to put the rest of their lives on hold to succeed here. And we believe that when people feel trusted and supported, our clients benefit too.

Keeping people at the heart of property.

We're a family business, and we understand that property decisions are often tied to important moments in people's lives. Moving home, growing a family, making an investment, becoming a landlord or navigating an unexpected change. These aren't always simple decisions, and they deserve time, care and attention. We want our clients to feel that they're dealing with real people who understand that. Our approach might be modern, but some things will always remain traditional: answering the phone, following through on promises, offering honest advice and taking personal responsibility when things need sorting out. Technology helps us work smarter. Flexibility helps us work differently. But neither replaces the importance of genuine relationships.

Building something we believe in.

PropertyZen is still young, and we're learning and evolving as we go. But we're proud of what we're building, the people we're building it with and, above all, the trust our clients have already placed in us. We're ambitious, and we have exciting plans for the future. But we're determined that growth won't come at the expense of the personal service, flexibility and culture that inspired us in the first place. After years of helping build businesses for others, we're finally building one that reflects our own values.
